Website Design Services

You are probably wondering just who is this SilverFox person. Well, for starters, my name is Karin Fox. You probably also want to know all about me.

For starters, I'm currently working on my web design certificate and also software development certificate at Moraine Valley Community College. The next step will be to obtain my Associates. However, I already have a BA in Psychology and an MA in Counseling.

Before discovering my passion for web design, I use to be a counselor in the Chicago area. I was in private practice for 3 years and also worked at four different agencies for 12 years. In January of 2005, I had a serious medical diagnosis which led to 4 months away from work. During that time, I pretty much reflected on my life - where I've been, what I was interested in and where I wanted to go.

In May of 2005, I enrolled at Moraine to take courses in Chemistry and Biology to pursue the road of a physician assistant. In February of 2006, I was invited to interview for the PA program at Rosalind Franklin University. I was not accepted into the program because I did not have any "medical experience". In January of 2007, I got hired at a hospital transporting patients in radiology, then eventually moved to PACU - where I was a tech and transporter. In January of 2010, I was invited to interview for the PA program at Northwestern University. After not getting accepted into the program, I started to reflect and think about my passions and possibilities.

Photography, Computers, Animals, Biology, Chemistry, Sports. In 2004, I started experimenting for fun with my own personal website - www.karinfox.com. I created another one for a friend -- www.watercolorsbylyn.com and then for my class project in anatomy & physiology - I created a teaching module at -- http://foxcadaverlab.bravehost.com. I have always had a "taste" for web design but never had any formal training. So in December of 2010, I decided to return to Moraine to pursue website design. After completing MIS 141 and then a summer class of computer programming, I also plan on obtaining my software development certificate. I'm excited to be on this journey where God is leading me.
